Flapless or Conventional Flapped Surgical Technique?

Compared to the conventional flapped surgical technique, the flapless surgical technique reduces the amount of crestal bone loss, soft tissue inflammation, pain and discomfort, edema, bleeding and consequently soft tissue recession.

As a result, a flapless surgical technique is performed instead of a conventional flapped surgical technique for a patient when all possible or when a specific criteria is met.
