Implant Bridges

Implant bridges or implant supported bridges are similar to traditional fixed dental bridges (in the menu, please see "dental bridges") but instead of being cemented in place to teeth, it is held in place or fixed by implants.

An implant bridges may involve 2 dental implants or 3 or more dental implants that are integrated or co-existing with the remaining natural teeth in the same arch. In a similar manner, there may even be multiple implant bridges that could be integrated or co-existing with the remaining natural teeth in the same arch.

Furthermore, an implant bridge could incorporate the entire arch of the mouth (when the arch is edentulous or when all of the teeth for the arch are missing). When this occurs, the implant bridge is synonymous in reference to as a full-arch fixed implant prosthesis (in the menu, please see "full-arch fixed implant prostheses)".
