The patient is congenitally missing a central incisor and as a result there is space closure resulting in insufficient space for an ideal size tooth at the site. In addition, since the patient is born without this tooth there is also deficient quantity of bone at the same site. Therefore,

An external (lateral window) sinus lift procedure is performed followed by the placement of bone grafting material. Next, a dental implant along with the restorative components (implant abutment and crown) are placed to complete the overall treatment for this particular implant site.

The patient has been involved in an accident that had occurred in the patient’s youth affecting two teeth in the front of the mouth. As a result, one tooth was removed while the second tooth remained but lacked the bone to support it. Over time, the space has “closed up”
