Dental Implant in the Posterior Region

Case ID: 3087

Individual results may vary.

Case Details

An insufficient width and thickness of bone at the alveolar ridge makes it impossible for the placement of a traditional sized dental implant. Therefore, a ridge splitting procedure is performed along with a ridge expansion for the localized implant site resulting in adequate stability and prolonged implant health as a result from the improved bone thickness and volume surrounding the circumference of the dental implant upon placement. It was the personal preference of the patient to choose a lighter shade color for the implant crown rather than to match the current color shade of her natural teeth.
