2 Dental Implants in the Anterior Esthetic Zone

Case ID: 2486

Individual results may vary.

Case Details

Due to many years of having missing teeth at the proposed dental implant site the bone has deteriorated. The is the direct result of the lack of internal stimulation within the bone which results in the loss of bone volume which disallows the placement of traditional sized implants in this region. In order to place the desired size of implants in this area a bone augmentation procedure must be implemented which in this particular case a ridge splitting procedure with expansion is performed. Hence, the bony alveolar ridge of the proposed implant site is very carefully cut to a desired depth and split apart; the bone is then expanded to accommodate 2 dental implants which are then later restored with implant abutments and crowns.
