4 Dental Implants in the Posterior Region

Case ID: 3321

Individual results may vary.

Case Details

The area in the posterior quadrant have 2 missing molars and 2 broken, non-restorable premolars which are extracted. Next, 4 dental implants are then immediately placed and eventually restored with a posterior oral prosthesis. The ideal space catered for the 4 natural size teeth at this site is limited since the wisdom teeth in this quadrant has medially drifted into the space over time. Fortunately, a more narrow occlusal table for the implant bridge will be created intentionally resulting in “smaller teeth” for the purpose of minimizing the stress factors associated with patients with parafuntional (bruxism, clenching, etc.) habits which this particular patient possesses so therefore the space available has now become – adequate.
