Case Details

A patient with recurrent pain and infection from a tooth that had been previously had root canal therapy and retreatment from another clinic decides that enough is enough and finally decides to extract the tooth. The tooth is extracted and the tooth socket is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected of any remaining bacteria. An implant site is then prepared and an implant fixture of a desired size is then placed along with a bone graft material of choice. The dental implant site is then allowed to heal for a delegated amount of time before the implant is finally connected with and loaded with a prosthetic crown.
